• Look both ways, twice: Seriously, this is not a joke. Double-checking is essential, especially in areas with lots of traffic. Assume drivers aren't paying attention.
• Make eye contact: Try to make eye contact with drivers before crossing to ensure they've seen you.
• Use designated crossings: Stick to the marked crosswalks whenever possible. This helps drivers anticipate your movements.
• Be visible: Wear bright clothing, especially at night or in low-light conditions. Reflective gear is a great idea, too.
• Put the phone down: This is so important! Don't be distracted by your phone when you’re crossing the street. Give crossing the road your full attention.
