Cyber Monday 2024: Beauty Bestsellers – My Totally Honest Review (and What I Totally Screwed Up!)
Hey, beauty junkies! So, Cyber Monday 2024 – right? I totally went ham. Like, I’m talking serious ham. And let me tell you, it was a wild ride. I scored some amazing deals, but also… well, let’s just say I learned a few hard lessons.
My Epic Cyber Monday Beauty Haul (and the One That Got Away)
First off, let's talk about the wins. I snagged the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick set for, like, half price. Seriously, a steal! I'd been eyeing that set for ages, and finally pulled the trigger. The color is gorgeous, and the formula is super hydrating – I’m obsessed. It was on sale at Sephora, and they were also offering a bunch of free samples which, let me tell you, I took full advantage of!
Then, there was the Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector. My hair has been feeling super dry lately (thanks, summer!), and I’ve heard amazing things about this stuff. I found a killer deal on Amazon, and I’m already seeing a difference after just one use! My hair feels way less brittle and it's actually easier to manage.
But then… there was the disaster. I completely missed out on the Kylie Cosmetics Cyber Monday sale. I had it bookmarked, I had my credit card ready... but I got distracted by a cat video (don’t judge!). By the time I went back, everything was sold out! I was so bummed. Seriously, I almost cried. Lesson learned: Set reminders, people! Set multiple reminders! I used a few different reminder apps, and still failed.
Pro-Tip: The Power of Price Tracking!
Here’s where I'm sharing some serious wisdom, gained through pain and suffering (and a few empty wallets). Price tracking websites are your new best friend. Seriously! There are tons of them out there. They track prices on tons of beauty products, alerting you when they go on sale. This allows you to snag the best deals, without being glued to your computer all day and night. I’m kicking myself for not using one this year, but it's definitely on my list for next year's Cyber Monday!
What to Look For (and What to Avoid) on Cyber Monday
Okay, so here's the deal. Cyber Monday beauty deals are amazing, but you gotta be smart about it.
- Don't fall for hype: Just because something’s on sale doesn’t mean it’s good. Read reviews! Check ingredients! Make sure it’s something you actually need. I almost bought a 12-pack of face masks I didn't even like. Nearly made a huge mistake.
- Compare prices: Don’t just assume the Cyber Monday price is the best price. Check other retailers! I found the same Charlotte Tilbury set cheaper on one site versus another!
- Check return policies: What if you hate it? Make sure you know the return policy before you buy. Especially for stuff like makeup, as color matching is important!
My 2025 Cyber Monday Beauty Plan
This year, I’m way better prepared. I'm setting up price trackers now. Yes, you heard that right — NOW. I’m also creating a detailed wish list, budgeting, and setting those multiple, redundant reminders. I even downloaded those browser extensions that compare deals across websites. I am not missing out on that Kylie Cosmetics sale next year.
So, that’s my Cyber Monday 2024 beauty haul! What about you? Share your wins and fails in the comments below! Let's learn from each other's mistakes! Happy shopping!
